How to export SMS messages from an iPhone to a Windows PC
I work for a small city and, as a government, any work-related text messages can be requested by members of the public. This normally doesn’t happen much but our mayor’s assistant is always getting requests for text messages he has sent or received. The way he’s been doing it is by manually transcribing the text messages from his phone to his computer. This is not a workable long-term solution.
I’ve been doing some research on how to do this and experimenting with my own iPhone and it seems like my options are limited to a) take screenshots of the text messages and send them to myself or b) pay for an app.
Does this sound right? I keep thinking that I’m missing some incredibly obvious solution because I’m not familiar with the IOS (I’ve only had my phone for about a month). Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
